A performing crocodile is undergoing treatment after being crushed by his circus' 18-stone accountant.
Russian news agency RIA Novosti reports that the crocodile, named Fedya, suffered the injuries when a Soviet Circus minibus hit a bump in the road near the northern town of Severomorsk.
The female accountant, who was not wearing a seatbelt, fell on top of her reptilian colleague.
"The accountant - who weighs over 120 kilograms - fell on top of Fedya, who was lying on the floor. It was a shock for both of them," said circus administrator Vasilii Kolos.
Kolos said it took vets in the city of Murmansk three hours to make a full diagnosis of Fedya, who fortunately avoided damage to his internal organs and should be able to make a full recovery.
