Stephen Sutton's funeral is "a bittersweet occasion" filled with the positivity the 19-year-old exuded but mixed with the grief of his family and friends, the Dean of Lichfield told Good Morning Britain.
The Dean, who lead yesterday's vigil in the cancer fundraiser's memory, said the size of the service was "very unusual".
"It's been a huge harmony; the top notes of course celebration and thankfulness. But underneath all that is our personal sadness at Stephen's death and obviously we share his family's grief. So it is a bittersweet occasion."
More than 10,000 people joined Stephen Sutton's family and friends in paying an emotional farewell to the inspirational teen cancer victim.
