British police conduct fingertip search of wasteland

British police joined their Portuguese counterparts in a thorough search of the area of scrubland in Praia da Luz, where efforts to locate missing Madeleine McCann are being focused.

Police were seen collecting soil samples from a flat inside the cordoned off area, and teams are also thought to be using ground-penetrating radar equipment, looking for clues that could indicate disturbed soil.
