Former pop star Gary Glitter, real name Paul Gadd, has been charged with eight new sex offences against two girls who were aged between 12 and 13 and 13 and 14 in 1977 and 1979/80.
Prosecutors said they are taking no further action on five allegations made against the 70-year-old by two other people.
