Saturday set to be warmest day of year so far

Most of us will have a fine, bright end to the week with spells of sunshine and temperatures doing a little better than the last couple of days.

Devon, Cornwall and Pembrokeshire will be prone to some showery rain - throwing cloud into the rest of the west and turning any sunshine hazy.

Come Saturday, it'll feel much warmer but also increasingly humid and thundery.

It could well be the warmest day of the year so far in places - with highs of 26C or more - but the warm, muggy air will then trigger heavy and thundery downpours.
