Former teacher: You don't stop bullies by backing off

A former governor and teacher at a Birmingham school alleged to be part of a hard-line Muslim takeover plot has told ITV News, "You don't stop bullies by backing off."

Michael White, who was dismissed from Park View School in 2003, said: "You have to stand up to bullies when they bully you.

These governors are well organised and you have to stand up to them - that's painful sometimes but you have to stand up and say, 'No this is not acceptable'."

"We have to make sure that young children are not exposed to extremists of any sort - whether you're right, you're left, Christian or Islamic, whatever".
