Rescue bid for man trapped in Germany's deepest cave

Rescue workers in Germany are attempting to free a mountaineer who got trapped in a 1,000m-deep cave after getting injured a rockfall, police said.

The 52-year-old reportedly suffered head and body injuries while exploring the cave, one of the biggest in Europe, near Berchtesgaden in south-east Germany.
