Areas of Iraqi city Tikrit 'overrun by Sunni insurgents'

Areas of the Iraqi city Tikrit have been "overrun" by Sunni insurgents, Reuters reported, citing security sources.

Tikrit, which is located 95 miles (150 km) north of Baghdad, was the hometown of the late president Saddam Hussein.
