Man dies after being punched at music festival

A man who was punched to the ground at a music festival has died in hospital.

Robert Hart, 26, was attacked at the Parklife event at Heaton Park in Manchester on Saturday night, following an altercation thought to have been triggered when his girlfriend was struck with an inflatable doll.

Mr Hart was treated at the scene by two off-duty medical personnel after being knocked unconscious, Greater Manchester Police said. He died in hospital yesterday.

Police are searching for his assailant who is described as a mixed race male in his late 20s, who is around 6ft 1in.
