ISIS, the islamic militants storming major cities in Iraq, are a "rag tag force with a lot of weapons" collected from abandoned army bases stocked by American forces, a security expert told Good Morning Britain.

Dr Sally Leivesley explained ISIS' origins in the Syrian civil war and how the militants "aggravated" the early days of the Arab Spring.
