Gunmen launch attack on Kenyan coastal town

Unidentified gunmen have attacked a coastal town in Kenya, setting fire to at least three hotels and a petrol station.

Nation FM radio reported Mpeketoni Police Station had been attacked and that Police Inspector General David Kimaiyo had confirmed the incident.

At around 2000hrs two Nissan matatus with unknown occupants entered Mpeketoni & started shooting people in & around town.cc @majorechirchir

Militants 'kill 15 more' in second night of Kenya attacks

Islamist militants killed at least 15 people in a second night of attacks on Kenya's coast, a day after a raid on the town of Mpeketoni left at least 50 dead, the Kenya Red Cross said.
