US official: US and Iran 'may talk' about crisis in Iraq

A senior US official said the United States and Iran "may have a conversation" about the current crisis in Iraq on the sidelines of this week's nuclear talks.

The two countries are scheduled to meet in Vienna for a fresh round of talks on Iran's nuclear programme today.

The unnamed US official quoted by Reuters news agency said there are "no discussions on possible extension of the nuclear talks deadline."
