US 'open to discussions with Iran' over conflict in Iraq

The US is "open to discussions with Iran" as sectarian violence continues in the north of Iraq, Secretary of State John Kerry has said in an interview with Yahoo News.

Mr Kerry also said that the United States is "deeply committed to the integrity of Iraq, " urging the Maliki government to do a "better job" of reaching out to other sectarian groups.

Islamic State leader calls for jihad in audio message
