Isis 'take complete control' of northern city Tal Afar

Reports that #ISIS have taken complete control of #TalAfar after intense fighting with #Iraq Army

The northern Iraqi city of Tal Afar was the government's last remaining outpost in the entire province of Nineveh, which fell to the Sunni militants last week as the army collapsed.

It is also strategically important, located on the main highway from Mosul, the provincial capital, to the Syrian border.

Islamic State leader calls for jihad in audio message

The leader of the Islamic State, formerly Isis, has released the first audiotape calling for jihad since the group renamed. The group is currently battling Iraqi forces across large parts of the country.
