A cave researcher who has been trapped underground since the 8th June, has finally been brought to the surface.
Suffering head injuries in an accident deep underground in Germany, Johann Westhauser was slowly brought up the cave system to emerge this morning.
"He left the cave at 9:44 am," said a rescue service spokesman, adding that medics were looking after him.
