A man and woman are being questioned by Humberside Police in connection with the death of a newborn baby girl whose body was found by a member of the public in a cycle path in Hull last night.
The child is believed to be less than a week old, the Hull Daily Mail reported.
A spokesman for Humberside Police said:
"Officers attended right away and closed off the scene in order for the body to be recovered and for initial inquiries to take place.
"Following initial inquiries, a man and woman were arrested in connection with the baby's death are are currently in custody."
