Minute's silence held for jailed Al-Jazeera journalists

A minute's silence was held in protest at the sentence of three Al-Jazeera journalists who were each jailed in Cairo on Monday. Meanwhile, newly elected Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said he would not interfere with judicial sentences.

Devastated family vow to fight against jail term

The family of Australian journalist Peter Greste said they were "devastated" by the sentence, but vowed to fight on. Writing on Facebook, his family called for his supporters to fight on.
