Jailed journalist 'dragged from court screaming'

One of the Al-Jazeera journalists jailed for seven years by a court in Egypt was dragged from the court screaming as his family and supporters looked on, Telegraph reporter Louisa Loveluck, who was in court, reports.

Minute's silence held for jailed Al-Jazeera journalists

A minute's silence was held in protest at the sentence of three Al-Jazeera journalists who were each jailed in Cairo on Monday. Meanwhile, newly elected Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said he would not interfere with judicial sentences.
