Miliband: Egypt must 'address press freedom concerns'

Leader of the Opposition Ed Miliband has called the jailing of three al-Jazeera journalists in Egypt over allegations of terrorism "unacceptable" and has urged Cairo to address concerns over press freedom in the country.

Minute's silence held for jailed Al-Jazeera journalists

A minute's silence was held in protest at the sentence of three Al-Jazeera journalists who were each jailed in Cairo on Monday. Meanwhile, newly elected Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said he would not interfere with judicial sentences.
