Iraqi government under pressure to counter Isis threat

Pressure is intensifying on the Iraqi government to find a political solution to the threat of Isis extremists.

The country's most influential Shia cleric has called for a prime minister to be chosen within three days.

Islamic State leader calls for jihad in audio message

The leader of the Islamic State, formerly Isis, has released the first audiotape calling for jihad since the group renamed. The group is currently battling Iraqi forces across large parts of the country.
