Mr Weaver is reportedly a well-known local Elvis impersonator, the Plymouth Herald reports.

Police say it remains unclear whether Mr Weaver is armed, but it remains a possibility with firearms officers involved in the search in Widesgate and the wider Looe area.

A school in the area was closed this morning as a precaution.
