'At least 19 dead' after two buildings collapse in India

Rescuers were searching in rubble for more than a dozen workers feared trapped in the second of two building collapses in India that together have killed at least 19 people, according to the Associated Press.

Two 'detained' over building collapses in India

Police in India detained two construction company directors as rescuers searched for workers believed buried in the rubble of a building that collapsed during monsoon rains. It was one of two weekend building collapses that killed at least 20 people.

According to the Associated Press, police said 28 construction workers had been pulled out so far and the search was continuing for more than a dozen others.

Police officer Kanan said two directors of the construction company, Prime Sristi, have been detained for questioning as authorities began investigating the cause of the collapse.
