US teen's hopes to return after 'beaten by Israeli police'

A Palestinian-American teen left with stitches and bruises from his detention by Israeli security forces said in an interview that he hopes to return one day without incident to the Middle East, where he was beaten while visiting relatives.

Tariq Abu Khdeir, the cousin of a murdered Palestinian boy, said he hopes he could "come back safe".

Family: Beaten teen denied medical treatment for hours

The family of a 15-year-old teenage boy reportedly beaten by Israeli police said he could not understand why the authorities had targeted him.

The father of Tariq Khdeir, the cousin of the 16-year-old Palestinian boy murdered in an apparent revenge attack following the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers, said his son was denied medical attention for five hours, and is still being detained.
