Teenage boy hit by Tour de France convoy vehicle

A teenage boy has been airlifted to hospital suffering leg injuries after a Tour de France team convoy vehicle hit the youngster in Ilkley, West Yorkshire Police said.

A spokesman for the force said the accident happened at about 12.39pm.

"He was treated at the scene and has been airlifted to hospital with leg injuries. His condition is stable and police enquiries remain ongoing at the scene."
