US teen's hopes to return after 'beaten by Israeli police'

A Palestinian-American teen left with stitches and bruises from his detention by Israeli security forces said in an interview that he hopes to return one day without incident to the Middle East, where he was beaten while visiting relatives.

Tariq Abu Khdeir, the cousin of a murdered Palestinian boy, said he hopes he could "come back safe".

US teen 'beaten by Israeli police' under house arrest

American teenager Tariq Khdeir will be kept under house arrest for the next nine days, as Israeli police claim the 15-year-old was part of a group who attacked police during rioting.

Tariq says he was "just watching", before he was chased by three men from behind. ITV Middle East correspondent Geraint Vincent reports.
