Israeli military: Attack was to target Hamas 'terrorist'

The Israeli military has said that a second attack today on the Gaza Strip that killed six and wounded 25 was in response to a retaliatory air strike by Hamas and that it was targeting one of the militant group's "senior terrorists."

Israel has launched a ground offensive in Gaza with residents reporting heavy shelling in the area.
