A Malaysian MP sparked outrage last night after tweeting "long live Hitler" in the wake of Germany's demolition of Brazil in the World Cup semi-final.

Twitter users criticised Bung Moktar Radin for the post and Germany's ambassador to Malaysia, Holger Michael, told The Malay Mail: "We strongly reject the unacceptable allusion to the fascist regime of Adolf Hitler."
However, Mr Bung remained unapologetic over the controversial tweet and claimed there was nothing wrong with comparing the German team to the fascist dictator.
He told The Star Online: “I don’t know what’s wrong with people sometimes. Hitler is part of history and the German team fought like how he did.”
