Man bailed on suspicion of terrorism charge

A man who was arrested on suspicion of terrorism at Luton airport while trying to travel to Turkey has been released on bail, police said.

The 22-year-old was held on Wednesday afternoon before he got on the flight to Istanbul and he was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the preparation of acts to commit terrorism.

The Metropolitan Police Service's Counter Terrorism Command (SO15) searched an address in west London as part of the investigation.

Scotland Yard said that the search was complete and the man had been released on bail until mid August.
