Neil Young concert cancelled in Tel Aviv

An Tel Aviv concert by singer Neil Young was cancelled because of rocket attacks "and the fear of public security at a major event," the promoters said.

The aging Canadian star had been due to perform at the city's Yarkon Park on July 17 but the Shuki Weiss Promotion and Production company announced the cancellation on their Facebook page.

They said: "With great regret we have to announce the cancellation of Neil Young and Crazy Horse planned for Thursday near Yarkon Park. In light of rocket attacks in recent days and the fear of public security at a major event."
