Israeli civilian 'killed by rocket shrapnel' near Gaza border

An Israeli civilian has been killed after being hit by shrapnel from a rocket near a Gaza border crossing, according to Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the first Israeli fatality in more than a week of fighting with Palestinian militants.
