Officials in Russia have reported that two people have been detained after a metro train derailed in Moscow on Tuesday, leaving 22 dead and hundreds injured.

Moscow subway accident leaves at least '21 dead'

A total of 21 people have been killed and 136 injured after a rush-hour train derailed in Moscow, Russian news agency Itar-TASS has reported.

According to local media, 42 of the injured are in intensive care, while two of the victims have been identified as a Chinese and Tajik citizen.
