Police charge man after buggy crash at golf Open

Police have charged a 44-year-old man who allegedly collided with a security guard after driving a golf buggy out of the well-known golf Open at Hoylake.

Jason Holland, of Grange View, Prenton, Merseyside, has been charged with aggravated unauthorised taking of a vehicle and common assault.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm that a man has been charged following an incident in Hoylake, Wednesday, 16 July.

"He is due to appear before Wirral Magistrates on Friday, 5 September."
