Pro-Russian separatists recently shot down army plane

Pro-Russian separatists shot down a cargo plane in east Ukraine last month, killing 49 servicemen. Charred debris from the army transport plane was scattered for hundreds of metres when it came down near Novohannivka, a village 12 miles southeast of Luhansk.

Rebel forces scoured the wreckage for ammunition that had been intended for the government forces in east Ukraine.

MH17 victims' bodies flown to the Netherlands

A Dutch military plane carrying bodies from Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 has landed in Eindhoven. A service, attended by the king and queen of the Netherlands, is being held at the Dutch airport.
