All European flights operated by Malaysia Airlines will take alternative routes with immediate effect, the company said, after flight M17 crashed in eastern Ukraine.
Airlines around the world have been advised to plan routes that avoid the area by the European air safety organisation, Eurocontrol, following the incident.
