A pro-Russian separatist leader has claimed the flight recorders belonging to the downed Malaysian airliner in eastern Ukraine have not been found.
"The black boxes have not been found and we are not touching the site," said Aleksander Borodai, prime minister of the self-styled Donetsk People's Republic.
He also told a news conference that there had been no talk of creating a security zone at the site.
Thousands of online users have taken to social media to call for the victims of the Malaysian airliner crash to be returned to loved ones.
United States intelligence officials admitted that they do not know who fired the surface-to-air missile that downed flight MH17.
