Investigators to examine second black box from MH17

Air investigators are to examine a second black box which was recovered from flight MH17 today.

The data could reveal if the pilots were aware of a missile coming towards the plane and what happened in the last few seconds of the flight if they were able to speak.

MH17: No word on black boxes as handover time passes

The two black boxes from downed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 have not yet been handed to Malaysian officials, ITV News understands.

Earlier the Malaysian Prime Minister said the flight recorders would be handed over by pro-Russian separatists at 9pm Ukraine time (7pm BST).

However that does not yet appear to have taken place, whether for diplomatic or procedural reasons.
