There will be some patchy mist and low cloud about this morning but it will soon lift and retreat to North Sea coasts. Otherwise, most places will see plenty of warm sunshine through the day and it will be a little less humid than it was at the weekend.
As temperatures rise this afternoon, there's a risk of scattered showers in central and eastern Scotland as well as eastern England. These could be sharp and slow-moving where they occur but nothing on the scale as the weekend's thunderstorms is expected.
Many places will avoid the showers and enjoy a dry day. It will be warm everywhere but today's hot spot is likely to be the South Coast where temperatures reach 27C.
