A pro-Russian separatist leader in Ukraine has confirmed that the black boxes from flight MH17 will be handed to Malaysian experts shortly.
The statement from Sergei Kavtaradze, an official of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, confirms what Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said in a press conference recently.
Earlier, Ukraine's deputy prime minister suggested that the pro-Russian rebels had tampered with the flight recorders after they were recovered from the scene.
"There is information that the recorders were in their hands all these days and they did certain things to them," Volodymyr Groysman told a press conference.
Thousands of online users have taken to social media to call for the victims of the Malaysian airliner crash to be returned to loved ones.
United States intelligence officials admitted that they do not know who fired the surface-to-air missile that downed flight MH17.
