UK, US and France call for extension of Gaza truce

A group of foreign ministers have called for an extension of the 12-hour truce in Gaza after meeting in Paris.

The UK, the US, France and Germany were amongst the countries represented as top diplomats attempted to lay the groundwork for a long-term ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

French foreign minister Laurent Fabius said: "All of us call on the parties to extend the military ceasefire that is currently underway."
