Up to 8 million tune in as Commonwealth Games closes

The curtain has come down on an incredible 11 days of Commonwealth Games sporting action in a glittering, star-filled closing ceremony at Glasgow's Hampden Park.

England has topped the medal table of the Commonwealth Games with a total of 174 medals.

Up to 8 million viewers tuned in to see Kylie and a host of other stars close Glasgow 2014, which has been dubbed the "best ever" Commonwealth Games.

Brownlee brothers celebrate shared triathlon victory

Jonathan Brownlee has told ITV News of his delight at joining brother Alistair Brownlee at the top of the podium at the Commonwealth Games after admitting he had got used to finishing "second and third" to his brother.

The siblings helped win gold for England alongside Vicky Holland and Jodie Stimpson in the triathlon mixed team relay.

All four medal winners expressed their happiness at converting their status as favourites into a victory at the Strathclyde Park course.
