New Commonwealth Games high for Team Scotland

Team Scotland has been celebrating after breaking its previous Commonwealth Games record to clinch 12 golds at Glasgow 2014.

Victory for Alex Marshall and Paul Foster in lawn bowls saw Scotland's gold tally pass the 11 won in Melbourne in 2006.

With six days to go in the competition, the host nation needs three more medals to beat its record haul of 33 medals in Edinburgh in 1986.

Scotland's competitors have earned 12 gold, eight silver and 12 bronze medals so far and are third in the medal table behind Australia and England.
