Applications, which should be made by email, will be considered on a "case-by-case" basis.

The policy will apply to people who experienced delays at Hampden Park, causing them to miss the start of the athletics on Sunday.

Spectators seeking a refund are being asked to hold on to their tickets and email contactus@glasgow2014.com if requesting a refund.

A Glasgow 2012 spokeswoman said no refunds would be issued at ticket offices or venues.
