Up to 8 million tune in as Commonwealth Games closes

The curtain has come down on an incredible 11 days of Commonwealth Games sporting action in a glittering, star-filled closing ceremony at Glasgow's Hampden Park.

England has topped the medal table of the Commonwealth Games with a total of 174 medals.

Up to 8 million viewers tuned in to see Kylie and a host of other stars close Glasgow 2014, which has been dubbed the "best ever" Commonwealth Games.

England's Claudia Fragapane takes gold in vault final

England gymnast Claudia Fragapane has claimed her second Commonwealth gold medal in two days, after winning victory in the women's vault final today.

The 16-year-old chalked up 14.766 in her first effort, better than her qualifying mark, before receiving average score of 14.633 in her second.

Canada's Elisabeth Black came close but ended up taking silver.

The gold medalist told 5 live: "I just went up there and tried to do my best. It's incredible to get another gold medal. Tomorrow is my last day of competing so I'll just go out there and see what happens, I've not thought about any more medals."

"I love being part of the team, we're all good friends and we all support each other. My mum and dad are over the moon as well."
