Three top Hamas commanders killed in Israeli strike

Three senior Hamas military commanders have been killed in Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip, the Islamist militant group said.

Hamas named the men as Mohammed Abu Shammala, Raed al-Attar and Mohammed Barhoum and said they were killed in a bombing of a house in the southern town of Rafah.

Israel 'will continue fighting to prevent attacks'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country "has nothing against Palestinian civilians."

"We are very sorry for each and every civilian that was killed or hurt in Gaza," Netanyahu said in a televised statement.

The Prime Minister said Israel will continue in its mission to destroy Hamas tunnels from Gaza to prevent attacks on Israeli citizens.
