Three top Hamas commanders killed in Israeli strike

Three senior Hamas military commanders have been killed in Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip, the Islamist militant group said.

Hamas named the men as Mohammed Abu Shammala, Raed al-Attar and Mohammed Barhoum and said they were killed in a bombing of a house in the southern town of Rafah.

8-year-old girl 'killed as Israel breaks its own ceasefire'

Palestinians have accused Israel of breaking its own ceasefire by launching an attack which killed an 8-year-old girl and left 29 people wounded in a Gaza refugee camp.

Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Qidra said the strike on a house in the Shati camp, in Gaza City took place after the truce was scheduled to start this morning.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said she was checking the report.
