Three top Hamas commanders killed in Israeli strike

Three senior Hamas military commanders have been killed in Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip, the Islamist militant group said.

Hamas named the men as Mohammed Abu Shammala, Raed al-Attar and Mohammed Barhoum and said they were killed in a bombing of a house in the southern town of Rafah.

Israel 'resumes attacks on Gaza' after ceasefire ends

The Israeli military announced it has resumed its attacks on Gaza, ending a seven-hour ceasefire that was in effect for much of the day, the Associated Press reported.

Israel had declared the ceasefire to allow humanitarian supplies to enter Gaza.

Palestinian officials claimed an Israeli air strike hit a target next to a desalination plant in Gaza, killing two people and wounding 16.
