In the coming days it will be an increasingly unsettled picture across the UK.
It will not be particularly cold, however, with a warm south-westerly breeze keeping things reasonably warm for the time of year.
Weekend rain continues this afternoon across most of Scotland, but brighter skies in the east of Scotland and northern and central England.
The further south and east you go the greater chance of showers.
As you would expect, then, a real contrast in temperatures across the country - highest in the south-east (24C) and coolest in the north-west (17C).
