Four men 'admit killing' British students in Borneo

Four men arrested in Malaysia over the fatal stabbings of two British medical students have admitted the crime, a police chief has said.

Neil Dalton and Aidan Brunger, who were both 22 and studying at Newcastle University, were reportedly involved in an argument at a bar in Kuching before the attack.

Deputy police commissioner Chai Khin Chung said police had now finished their investigation after the men confessed to the stabbings.

Charity 'very saddened' at death of fundraising student

Prostate Cancer UK has paid tribute to one of the two Newcastle University medical students stabbed to death in Borneo, who had raised £400 for the charity last September.

Aidan ran the Great North Run for Prostate Cancer UK last year and he raised several hundred pounds for our work to beat prostate cancer. We are very saddened to hear news of his death in such devastating circumstances. Our sympathy goes out to all his family and friends.

– Andy Sallnow, head of events at Prostate Cancer UK
