Three top Hamas commanders killed in Israeli strike

Three senior Hamas military commanders have been killed in Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip, the Islamist militant group said.

Hamas named the men as Mohammed Abu Shammala, Raed al-Attar and Mohammed Barhoum and said they were killed in a bombing of a house in the southern town of Rafah.

Gaza ceasefire nears end as Hamas refuses extension

Time is ticking down to the end of a three-day ceasefire in Gaza but while Israel is ready to agree to an extension, Hamas has said it is not.

One official from the group said Israel must lift its blockade of the Gaza strip before they will agree to the extend the ceasefire which ends at 6am UK time.
