An emergency appeal for people affected by the conflict in Gaza has been launched.
The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) said it was "rapidly increasing" assistance to respond to the humanitarian situation that was affecting "virtually every man, woman and child in Gaza".
More than 1,800 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and 67 Israelis have been killed since the start of the conflict in July.
Donations are already being accepted through the DEC website and 24-hour phone line, the organisation said.
There have been two days of quiet in Gaza. No rockets or missiles, no more destroyed houses, no more ambulance sirens screaming.
A three-year-old girl has been rescued from Gaza and brought to London for life-saving heart surgery.
A small team of NHS doctors and surgeons is travel to Gaza to set up facilities and establish how best to use specialists and equipment.
